My hope is that my comment might assist myself and my children by politely conveying our desperate need for legal support and knowledge for Upholding Judicial Integrity Through Rule 60(d)(3): A Call for Accountability
I am currently engaged in a legal effort to vacate a judgment obtained through fraud on the court, pursuant to Rule 60(d)(3) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. This is not a routine motion to reconsider—it addresses a fundamental breach of judicial integrity caused by deliberate misconduct perpetrated by officers of the court. The fraudulent conduct in question not only deprived me of due process, but it also threatened the sanctity of the court itself by concealing material facts and misrepresenting the truth in a manner that corrupted the adjudicative process.
My work focuses on identifying authoritative precedent and uncovering procedural patterns that support relief in cases where fraud undermines the fairness of legal outcomes. The challenge lies not only in proving fraud, but in demonstrating how such fraud strikes at the heart of the judicial machinery—beyond mere injury to an individual party.
This endeavor is about more than correcting a flawed judgment. It is a principled stand for transparency, accountability, and the ethical duty that all officers of the court owe to the justice system. A court’s legitimacy hinges on its commitment to truth and impartiality. Where that commitment is betrayed, Rule 60(d)(3) exists not just as a remedy, but as a safeguard against systemic erosion.
I share my experience here in the hope that others who confront similar obstacles may feel empowered to act, and that the legal community continues to place integrity above expediency.
I pray for your knowledgeable feedback and personal acquaintance.
Most Sincerely,
Lisa A. Zepeda
